For many people, the words Honda and Accord are one and the same. And that’s no mistake, because the Accord Sedan is more than just a car. It is a collection of ideas. Like the notion that you can be responsible and still enjoy yourself. Or that smarter engineering can result in both power and efficiency. That’s the way Honda thinks. And it’s why the Accord exists.
Welcome to the intersection of sleek and sensible.Smart never looked so sexy. Boldly sculpted edges and a powerful stance can stir passion from any angle. But the real payoff comes when you get behind the wheel. With its precise handling and available 271-hp V-6, the Accord offers more than enough performance to back up its appearance.
Take a no-compromise approach to power and efficiency.Imagine an engine that not only exhilarates, but can also help minimize fuel use and emissions. The Accord offers three. A 177-hp, 2.4-liter i-VTEC® 4-cylinder (sedan only) and a 190-hp version, both of which received a Partial Zero-Emission Vehicle (PZEV) rating. A 271-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 is also a model of efficiency.
A level of refinement that may forever raise your standards. From the way the seat holds your form to the way the controls feel to your touch, every detail is scrutinized. Nothing is superfluous. Nothing an after thought. Man and machine have never been more in tune.
The evolution of ingenious technology. The Accord is designed to be an extremely engaging experience. Equip your EX-L with the available Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System, and you’ll command a vast knowledge of the U.S., except Alaska. It has a huge point-of-interest database,* including restaurant ratings and reviews from Zagat Survey.® The system can be operated by voice commands or with the central interface dial, which also lets you work the audio system and climate controls. Plus, every Accord comes equipped with a USB Audio Interface so you can play music straight from a compatible audio player or flash drive. And all EX-L models feature Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink,® which easily connects with your compatible phone.
Some of its smartest features may never be used. The Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®)* system is standard on all Accords. During an understeer or oversteer situation, it can brake
individual wheels and/or reduce engine power to help restore your intended course. Standard ABS will also help you maintain steering – even during hard braking. Also standard is Brake Assist, which helps apply full braking in some emergency situations, and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), which helps braking performance by distributing brake force among the four wheels based on how much load each wheel is bearing.
J.D. Power and Associates' "Highest Ranked Midsize Car in Initial Quality" 2011.The Honda Accord is J.D.
