American Honda Motor Co., Inc. has set a new July sales record, selling 152,799 Honda and Acura vehicles, a jump of 4.4 percent over last year’s numbers. And that was only the first record to fall. Total American Honda truck sales set a new all-time monthly record with 77,740 sales, a jump of more than 10 percent over the previous record. Plenty of drivers came in to Hall Honda Virginia Beach last month to help set those records. Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division, was ecstatic about the brand’s record-breaking performance, saying “The strong cadence of new Honda products we continue to bring to market has created extraordinary retail demand that is unprecedented in our history.”
He’s right; an incredible selection of vehicles is behind the Honda brand’s ever-growing success, vehicles like the driver-favorite 2016 Honda CR-V. This compact SUV is packed to the gills with great features like Vehicle Stability Assist™, the Collision Mitigation Braking System™, and available Real Time AWD™. Vehicle Stability Assist helps correct for oversteer or understeer by braking individual wheels and/or reducing engine power. The Collision Mitigation Braking System keeps an eye on the cars ahead, stopping when it detects an otherwise unavoidable collision. And Real Time AWD can sense traction loss and automatically transfer power to the rear wheels to help keep you on the road and on course.
Inside, the Honda CR-V boasts 37.3 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the second row, expanding to 70.0 cubic feet when the last row is folded down. The 60/40 split rear seatback provides even more versatility for cargo carrying. When it comes time to put the car in reverse after loading up with all that stuff, take advantage of the multi-angle rearview camera, which provides three different viewing angles: normal, top-down, and wide.
