Did you watch the Super Bowl on Sunday? No? Well, you at least watched the commercials at work on Monday, right? If you did, you caught the Honda commercial celebrating The Power of Dreams. With a tour through the awkward yearbook photos of some of our favorite celebrities, we were presented with an uplifting reminder of the great heights that can be reached from humble beginnings. That’s the story of the celebrities featured, and of the vehicle that pulled on-screen at the end of the ad—the 2017 Honda CR-V.

Susie Rossick, assistant vice president, Honda Auto Marketing, shed light on the thinking behind the ad: “Since its introduction in 1997, CR-V has set the standard for efficiency, practicality and driving fun, becoming a customer favorite and taking the title as America's best-selling SUV over the past two decades. To celebrate the all-new, fifth-generation CR-V, we wanted to share inspiring stories that bring to life what we mean when we talk about The Power of Dreams."

This isn’t the first time the Honda CR-V has appeared during the Super Bowl. The previous-generation Honda CR-V was showcased during the 2012 Super Bowl, while the first-generation Honda CR-V appeared way back in the 1997 Super Bowl. This standout Honda SUV has come a long way since then. The 2017 Honda CR-V offers an array of advanced technology like a blind spot information system (BSI) with cross traffic monitor, a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Dynamic Guidelines, and the incredible Honda Sensing™ Suite of driver-assist technologies.
