There’s no denying that you have a nearly endless list of options when it comes to finding the right crossover SUV for you. Here at Hall Honda Virginia Beach, we’ve got several options that we love, including the new 2020 Honda Pilot.

We love the Honda Pilot, and we’re sure drivers in the Virginia Beach, VA area will as well, but we thought we’d show you how it stacks up to another competitor, the Subaru Ascent. How does it compare?

The 2020 Honda Pilot remains one of the mainstays of the crossover SUV segment, while the Subaru Ascent is a newer model with miles to go before it proves itself in the long run. While the Subaru model only has four trim levels to choose from, the Honda crossover has six: the 2020 Honda Pilot LS, EX, EX-L, Touring, Elite, and Black Edition. Each model of the Honda crossover is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that puts out 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the Subaru model only comes with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque.

In addition to performance, the 2020 Honda Pilot for sale near Norfolk, VA has the upper hand when it comes to interior space. The Honda SUV features 18.5 cubic feet of cargo volume, while the Subaru Ascent offers just 17.8 cubic feet. At a maximum, the Honda Pilot boasts 109 cubic feet with the second and third rows folded flat. If you're looking at the Subaru Ascent in the same configuration, it provides only 86.5 cubic feet of total storage room.
