Cost- and quality-conscious pre-owned Honda buyers likely are well aware of the Honda Certified Pre-Owned program, which collects the lowest-mileage, highest-quality pre-owned Honda cars on our lot. The Honda CPO program has recently undergone some changes, as the automaker has split the CPO vehicles into a few different categories.
Here is an overview of the revamped Honda CPO program.
HondaTrue Certified+
The new HondaTrue Certified+ category is for 2021 and 2022 Honda models only. Here some of the benefits of buying from this category.
- Powertrain coverage: Seven years or 100,000 miles
- Non-Powertrain coverage: For vehicles purchased within New Vehicle Limited Warranty period, five years or 86,000 miles
- Roadside assistance
- Oil changes: Up to two years of complimentary oil changes within the first year of ownership
- Three-day exchange policy
- Honda Care: Eligible for purchase
- Trip interruption
- Concierge service
- SiriusXM®: 90 days free
HondaTrue Certified
The next new category of the CPO Honda car program is HondaTrue Certified. It includes the majority of the same benefits of HondaTrue Certified+, except the warranty differs. For vehicles purchased within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period, non-powertrain coverage extends the New Vehicle Limited Warranty to four years or 48,000 miles. For vehicles purchased after the New Vehicle Limited Warranty has expired, the warranty extends one year or 12,000 miles from delivery date.
HondaTrue Used
The last category of CPO Honda cars at our Virginia Beach Honda dealership is HondaTrue Used. It includes:
- Powertrain coverage: 100 days or 5,000 miles
- Non-powertrain coverage: 100 days or 5,000 miles
All the other benefits are the same, except cars in this category include one complimentary oil change instead of two.
